Job summary

Self Direct Support Options Fife is recruiting a compassionate Personal Assistant/Companion to support a 37-year-old man with Asperger’s and depressive disorder. The role is 30 hours per week, with flexibility for some evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate will help build confidence, accompany to appointments and social activities, and support leisure activities. You will need patience, discretion and respect for boundaries, with a structured approach to daily routines.

Qualifications

• Companion/PA experience preferred or willingness to support adults with Asperger’s and depressive disorder.
• Able to maintain confidentiality, boundaries and respectful communication.
• Willingness to accompany to appointments/social activities and assist with daily living tasks.

Responsibilities

• Participating in activities he enjoys (computing, retro gaming).
• Accompany him to appointments as required.
• Help build confidence to meet new people and pursue relationships.
• Assist with social activities, trips and days out while ensuring safety.
• Support everyday skills and structured daily routines.
• Encourage and enable him to participate in meaningful activities.
