Commvault Backup Engineer Inside IR35

A Commvault Backup Engineer is required for an initial 8 month contract. This is a hybrid role and requires 3 days a week on site in Sheffield and is inside IR35 so you will need to work through an FCSA accredited umbrella company.

Key skills and experience:

1. Experience in Commvault administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
2. Must have knowledge and (preferably) experience of Commvault Hyperscale solutions.
3. Ability to architect and implement a complete new Commvault solution from nothing.
4. Deep understanding of IntelliSnap and its integration with block storage arrays.
5. Integration of Commvault with RMAN for Oracle Databases.
6. Hands-on experience with Commvault performance tuning and optimization.
7. Knowledge of Commvault disaster recovery solutions.
8. Experience with Commvault data migration and upgrade projects.
9. Familiarity with Commvault Command Center and other monitoring tools.
10. Understanding of Commvault licensing and compliance requirements.
11. Strong documentation (Confluence), analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong abilities with using the Commvault reporting suite, preferably with knowledge to create custom reports.
13. Must have experience working in a finance background with adherence to strong change management practices.
14. Should have 8-10 years of experience in Commvault administration.
15. Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
16. Good understanding of traditional Data Centre architecture as well as automation technologies.
17. Working experience in handling and troubleshooting Commvault systems.
18. Experience in implementing Commvault disaster recovery solutions.
19. Experience in working on Commvault data migration and upgrade projects.
20. Working experience with Commvault Command Center and other monitoring tools.
21. Demonstrate analytical and problem management skills.
22. Ability to coach less experienced staff.
