Location: Sheffield (3 days per week in the office)
Salary/Rate: Up to £380.25 per day INSIDE IR35
Start Date: 28/04/2025

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Commvault Backup Engineer to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Experience in Commvault administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
2. Must have knowledge and (preferably) experience of Commvault Hyperscale solutions.
3. Ability to architect and implement a complete new Commvault solution from scratch.
4. Deep understanding of IntelliSnap and its integration with block storage arrays.
5. Integration of Commvault with RMAN for Oracle Databases.
6. Hands-on experience with Commvault performance tuning and optimization.
7. Knowledge of Commvault disaster recovery solutions.
8. Experience with Commvault data migration and upgrade projects.
9. Familiarity with Commvault Command Center and other monitoring tools.
10. Understanding of Commvault licensing and compliance requirements.
11. Strong documentation (Confluence), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong abilities with using the Commvault reporting suite, preferably with knowledge to create custom reports.
13. Experience working in a finance background with adherence to strong change management practices.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Experience in Commvault administration.
2. Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
3. Good understanding of traditional Data Centre architecture as well as automation technologies.
4. Experience in handling and troubleshooting Commvault systems.
5. Experience in implementing Commvault disaster recovery solutions.
6. Experience in working on Commvault data migration and upgrade projects.
7. Experience with Commvault Command Center and other monitoring tools.
8. Demonstrated analytical and problem management skills.
9. Ability to coach less experienced staff.
