Job responsibilities

The Community Wound Care Nurse contributes to the delivery of wound and lymphoedema care in the community. The role involves providing innovative, community-based solutions and participating in a structured development program. Being a team player with energy is crucial.

This role can serve as a springboard into specialist areas like lower limb, leg ulceration, or lymphoedema, subject to vacancy availability.

The nurse reports to the Clinical Lead and supports team development. A positive, solution-focused approach, discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are vital.

The main outcomes include:

  1. Providing skilled, timely, and creative care;
  2. Championing service delivery and efficiency;
  3. Managing clinics and home visits;
  4. Encouraging personalized care to improve outcomes;

Responsibilities include working under the Clinical Lead, focusing on lower limb patients in Tower Hamlets and/or City and Hackney, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage wounds and lymphoedema effectively.
