Job summary

BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD in North Wales is seeking two Band 4 Enhancing Lives Support Workers to join the Enhancing Lives Team, providing support and wellbeing interventions to people in the community. The role focuses on engaging individuals with complex needs related to substance use, homelessness, mental health and offending behaviour, within a Welsh health and social care context.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field of practice.
• Awareness of substance use, mental health, housing and criminal justice issues.
• Understanding of the competency boundaries of a band 4 Practitioner role.
• Understanding of Legal and Ethical issues regarding the provision of care and support.
• Working knowledge of Support Worker role.

Responsibilities

• Support Workers will undertake roles and duties delegated by senior members of the team.
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of people being supported.
• Provide supervision to more junior staff.
