Job summary

Runnymede Borough Council is seeking a Community Transport & Meals at Home Scheduler to coordinate transport and meal delivery services, ensuring residents receive safe, reliable and customer-focused support.

You will work with drivers, carers and partner organisations to keep services running daily, handle bookings and monitor performance, while maintaining accurate records and supporting operational activities.

• Role combines customer service, scheduling and frontline operational support.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating community transport, processing bookings as well as meal delivery routes.
• Acting as the first point of contact for service users, carers and partner agencies.
• Allocating work to drivers and communicating route information effectively, responding to operational issues and service disruptions as they arise
• Monitoring service performance and maintaining accurate operational records, ensuring customer information is handled securely and confidentially.
• Providing driving cover when required to support service continuity.
• Completing vehicle checks, recording mileage and reporting defects.
• Supporting the Community Transport Supervisor with daily operational activities.
