Runnymede and Surrey Heath Borough Councils are working in partnership to deliver Community Transport services and are looking for Community Transport Drivers to join our ambitious service and provide accessible transport to residents across Runnymede and Surrey Heath boroughs, as well as travelling into other neighbouring areas as required.
Our Transport Service uses fully accessible minibuses of up to 16 seats. Experience of driving minibuses or similar-sized vehicles is desirable but not essential. To drive our fleet, you need a D1 category on your driving licence or have passed your driving test before January 1997.
Full training will be provided.
You will provide door-to-door transport to various groups, including older people, individuals with physical disabilities, and children with special educational needs. Candidates should have practical skills and sensitivity to the needs of service users. Experience working with diverse client groups is desirable.
As you will work with the public daily, a positive attitude, flexibility, a welcoming demeanor, and a good sense of humor are essential.
