Job description

Community Team Manager - Crisis Home Treatment Team

Management responsible for the operational management of the service delivery within the service. Provide visible leadership, promote a values-based culture, and act as a role model within the environment, creating a caring environment. Responsible for leading and managing the team, ensuring they are suitably trained, informed, and competent to carry out their duties, with mechanisms in place for regular supervision, appraisal, objective setting, and personal development planning.

Ensure safe staffing levels according to service budget and requirements, supported by effective e-rostering, team management, and resource allocation to maintain safe caseloads. Be accessible for staff, service users, families, and carers, acting as a point of clinical expertise. Establish governance procedures within the team to ensure communication, learning, and best practice are embedded.

Manage the team budget effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources. Conduct effective recruitment and escalate concerns as appropriate. Contribute to the review, development, and implementation of service policies and protocols. Support audit activities, implement recommendations, and undertake delegated investigations.

Demonstrate understanding of service user needs and care requirements. Contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions regarding care, ensuring services are delivered within a patient-centered framework involving service users, families, and carers. Ensure regulatory compliance and standards of care, including NICE guidelines, and incorporate feedback for service improvement.

Ensure tasks and responsibilities are fairly distributed within the team to provide effective care. Be professionally accountable, adhere to professional codes of practice, and comply with trust policies, guidelines, and mandatory training. Act as a sign-off mentor for student nurses (if applicable) and maintain professional revalidation.
