With the national focus on young people’s mental health, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of these services. We are recruiting a Clinical Team Manager for our innovative service in Suffolk: the Mental Health Support Team (MHST). MHSTs are embedded within schools to ensure children and young people receive quicker access to early mental health support. You will provide operational management and leadership to the team, working closely with other managers, the Clinical Lead, and Psychological Therapist to support service delivery.

This role is based in established teams located in Woodbridge and Leiston.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including nursing, social work, and occupational therapy.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract, with consideration for secondment requests. Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing 21st April.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational management of the service to provide high-quality support to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  2. Building relationships across various educational settings.
  3. Driving co-production and contributing to the review, development, and implementation of service policies and protocols.
  4. Managing supervision of the team and leading multidisciplinary team (MDT) decisions.
  5. Balancing clinical capacity with direct work and whole-school approaches to emotional wellbeing.
  6. Acting as a clinical expert and being accessible to staff, service users, families, and carers.

Why work for us? We have ambitious goals, exciting transformation initiatives, and a strong leadership team dedicated to supporting your professional growth.
