Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced midwife to develop and lead a Homebirth Team within Maternity Services. The role combines clinical leadership with team development, delivering safe, woman-centred care in community settings, promoting continuity of care and informed choice.

You will provide visible leadership to the Homebirth Team, drive service development and quality improvement, and support staff wellbeing while working with multidisciplinary

Community Team Leader - Homebirth Team

Department: Maternity Services

Band 7, £49,387 - £56,515 Per annum pro rata

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated midwife to develop and lead a dedicated Homebirth Team.This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical expertise with operational and professional leadership, supporting a team dedicated to delivering safe, personalised and woman-centred care across community settings. You will provide visible leadership and professional support to the Homebirth Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in line with national guidance, local policies and the Trust's strategic objectives.Working closely with community and maternity colleagues, you will champion continuity of care, promote informed choice and support women and families who choose homebirth as part of their maternity journey. You will play a key role in service development, quality improvement, staff wellbeing and the ongoing development of a positive team culture.
