About the Role

Teaching Personnel is excited to collaborate with an outstanding school in Northamptonshire. We are seeking a passionate Community Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities

1. Manage a caseload of up to five students facing educational challenges.
2. Engage and inspire students within their communities—at home, local facilities, or community spaces.
3. Provide tailored academic support and pastoral care to help students overcome barriers to learning and facilitate their return to formal education.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or be willing to attain it.
• Degree or equivalent with Maths and English at least Level 2.
• Specialist teaching qualification in a chosen subject (desirable).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage student behavior effectively.
• Experience working collaboratively with parents, community organizations, and stakeholders supporting students with diverse needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, equality of opportunity, and inclusion, especially in alternative education settings.
• Ability to identify and address student challenges promptly with appropriate support.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience teaching secondary students; familiarity with virtual learning environments is a plus.
• Positive role model, setting high expectations and fostering an inclusive environment.
