Community Support Worker - Weymouth/Dorchester

Our adult services programme is expanding within our care packages in the West region. We are seeking an independent, adaptable, and proactive individual to join our community team in Weymouth and Dorchester.

Requirements:

  • Full Driving license and access to your own vehicle

We have Full Time and Part Time vacancies. You will support individuals in their homes and participate in activities such as swimming, walking groups, day trips, and holidays. You will also assist with daily living skills like cooking, cleaning, and medication routines.

You will work shifts such as 07:00 - 16:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, with alternate weekends and sleep-ins (which receive additional pay).

A support worker's day includes:

  • Sharing skills and life knowledge to promote independence
  • Maintaining accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments, and medication
  • Following support plans and adapting them as needed
  • Providing personal care, including hygiene prompts, bathing, and medication assistance
  • Opportunities for career development and a 12-week induction program
  • Possibility to complete an accredited qualification after probation
  • Access to an internal learning portal for skill enhancement
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Up to 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • Employee referral scheme (£400 per successful referral)
