Job summary

Mencap in St Neots is seeking part-time Support Workers to help five individuals living independently in their own homes. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily tasks, accompany community outings and appointments, and help with shopping and meals. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential; training is provided.

DBS check and references are required. The usual pattern is 9:00am–5:00pm on Mondays, 8:00am–1:30pm Tue–Fri, and alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and reliable with a patient-centred approach.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
• Previous care experience welcome but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to five individuals living independently.
• Assist with daily tasks, meals, budgeting, shopping and laundry.
• Support access to community activities, outings and appointments.
• Occasionally assist with medication and light personal care with dignity.
