A community support organization is looking for a Community Support Worker in Omagh to provide essential support to children and young people with disabilities. The role involves transporting and supporting them in community activities. The position offers flexible hours, training opportunities, and a supportive work environment. Candidates should have experience in care and hold a valid UK Driver’s Licence.

Role: Community Support Worker – Lakeland Family Support Service
Location: Omagh and surrounding areas (to include Strabane, Castlederg, Clady)
Hours: 16 Hours per week & Relief available
Salary: Up to £12.80 per hour / Relief £12.21 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Relief
Closing Date: 6th October 2025

As a Community Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, providing essential support and making a real impact. This role is to support children and young people (age 5-18 years) to take part in community based activities. This could be on a 1-1 basis, 2-1 basis or as part of a small group. You will actively support the child/young person to take part in the activity, giving them the support they need to do so. You will collect the child from school/home and bring them to a local activity already organised in the community or an activity we have planned. Hours of work will be throughout the week, afternoons and evenings as the children/young people will be at school. There will also be weekend hours to cover.
