Job summary

Creative Support is seeking a dedicated support worker in Barrow-in-Furness to assist adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities. You will visit service users in their homes or other settings, providing practical help to enable independent living and emotional support in line with individual plans.

We offer flexible rotas (37.5 or 22.5 hours), mileage allowance for drivers, a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days of annual leave, and enhanced DBS paid by the company.

• Ability to work in service users' homes or other settings and to adapt to different environments.

Are you a caring individual who enjoys working with people? Then join our committed community outreach team in Barrow.

As a support worker you can support adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live their best lives. The successful candidate will engage with service users and build trusting, therapeutic, relationships.

The role includes visiting service users in their own homes or in other settings and offering practical support to enable them to live independently while also offering emotional support in accordance with their individual support plans. The support role includes helping with daily living tasks such as cooking, appointments, medication and money management.

We have both full time and part time hours are available, 37.5 and 22.5 per week to be worked on a flexible rota. The ability to lone work, using your own initiative is essential for this role.

Being a car driver and car owner (or access to a vehicle) is essential for this role, mileage allowance is paid.
