Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of a high-impact public service organisation for a Community Support Officer.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation, where you
will be responsible for the financial monitoring and project support functions necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the organisations Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) strategy.

The role:

  • Support the delivery of the PCSP Action Plan through administrative tasks, including maintaining programme files, processing payments, monitoring projects, and verifying expenditure.

  • Assist in managing programme and administration budgets, ensuring compliance with agreed limits, timescales, and funding regulations.

  • Contribute to procurement processes for delivery agents, including tenders, quotations, and the administration of funding mechanisms such as small grants programmes.

  • Undertake financial operations including eligibility checks, claim processing, budget forecasting, and accurate maintenance of manual and digital financial records.

  • Maintain a central project monitoring system and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across community safety, good relations, and community development initiatives.

  • Assist with inter agency and partnership working, including organising meetings, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting communication and publicity activities.

  • Provide high-quality customer service, foster relationships with key bodies, support strategic reviews, and deputise for the Co-ordinator when required.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • A relevant third-level qualification or 4 years relevant experience.
  • Have experience in managing multiple projects at one time, monitoring finances.
  • Stakeholder engagement and effective partnership working.
