Job summary

Dorset HealthCare is seeking Community Staff Nurses to join our District Nursing teams serving Bournemouth and surrounding areas. You can be newly registered or experienced; full training and support will be offered to help you provide high standard nursing care to people at home. You must be able to drive and have access to a car.

• Provide holistic care to patients at home, including palliative/end of life care, IV drug administration, medication and injection administration, and diabetes management.
• Deliver high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.
• Participate in training and preceptorship programs to support transition from student to registered nurse.

Job description

Our busy District Nursing teams along the coast of sunny Bournemouth are looking for Community Staff Nurses to join their teams. Applicants can be newly registered , or experienced, as full training and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.

The successful individual must be able to drive and have access to a car.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Our teams provide holistic care to patients at home, including palliative/ End of Life care, IV drug administration, medication/ injection administration, diabetes management.

We have a full time vacancy available. There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata.

With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills. Newly registered staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a specific clinical upskilling program to support their transition from student to RN.
