Job description

MATERNITY LEAVE OVER 1 x 9 MONTH and 1 x 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACTS

Are you a registered nurse with community experience looking to work in a supportive and friendly community team? Are you a newly or soon-to-qualify nurse wondering whether you can continue to build your skills and knowledge working in a community setting? Do you want to work in a dynamic team that encourages staff to flourish and reach their potential? Look no further!

Stevenage Integrated Community Team are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our friendly, supportive, and Gold Accredited Team. You will be working alongside our nursing support staff, therapy staff, and Hospital@Home team to provide safe, effective, and high-quality care to our patients within their own homes. We understand how important it is to have time to settle into a new team; all staff joining our team are provided with a thorough 4-6 week induction period. Here, you will have the chance to work as a supernumerary member of the team, shadowing numerous staff in various roles within and outside of our team before working independently.

Proposed interview date: 25-July-2025

The Integrated Community Team is an expanding and evolving service. We provide a wide range of nurse-led care to people within their own homes. As a nurse in our team, you will be supported to develop and broaden your skill set. To achieve this, we facilitate our staff to access an extensive training and education programme, as well as a range of personal and professional development opportunities including the PgDip Specialist Community Nursing course. For our newly qualified staff, we have set up a forum to facilitate a monthly meeting of peer reflection and training, designed to support those wanting to join the community soon after completion of their nurse training, as well as a trust-wide preceptorship programme to develop your CPD portfolio and skills.

Our service operates 8am – 10pm, 365 days a year. We can offer flexible working patterns and pride ourselves on working with our staff to ensure their work schedule supports a healthy work-life balance. We are happy to consider full or part-time applicants.

A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Please be aware that if you are applying from overseas, we expect overseas candidates to have FULL registration with the NMC (including an OSCE pass). If you do not have full NMC registration, unfortunately, your application will not be successful.
