A healthcare trust in Coventry is seeking a qualified Community Staff Nurse to join their Health Visiting service. We have a brand new opportunity for you to join us as a band 5 Community Staff Nurse, becoming part of our dedicated Health Visiting service within Coventry's Family Health and Lifestyle services, supporting the Healthy Child Programme for 0-5 year olds.
Our integrated offer allows our teams to work closely with services including Health Visiting, School Nursing, Infant Feeding, Stop Smoking in Pregnancy, Be Active Be Healthy, FNP, and MAMTA. We have excellent partnership working with Early Help and collaborate with external third-sector organisations to support families within Coventry.
The service aims to provide a safe, effective, and high-quality service to clients, using research-based evidence to inform practice within professional standards. This role will contribute to the development and safe delivery of 0-5 services, focusing on improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people, especially those from disadvantaged groups.
This role requires you to be a qualified nurse with an interest in working with children and a desire to progress through Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training. The post holder will be a Registered Nurse working under the line management of the Health Visitor/Clinical Lead, with a delegated caseload supervised by senior staff.
You will work in partnership with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and other agencies to ensure high standards of care. You will support your team, department, and organisation in achieving The Healthy Child Programme (Department of Health, 2021). The service operates within a progressive universal model, delivering the Healthy Child Programme in collaboration with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
