Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust in Weymouth is seeking Community Staff Nurses to join our busy District Nursing team, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.
The role offers strong training links with local universities, rapid upskilling and support with new skills. This is a full-time post with weekends, late shifts until 20:00 and bank holidays. DBS check required; the Trust covers the cost.
Our busy District Nursing team in Weymouth and Portland is looking for Community Staff Nurses to join the teams. The ideal candidates will be dynamic and motivated with a passion for providing a high standard of nursing care to people in their own homes.
With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills.
This is a full-time position and there will be a requirement to work weekends, late shifts (until 20:00) and bank holidays.
The role includes wound care, palliative care, IV drug administration, medication/ injection administration, diabetes management and many other diverse skills.
To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.
To undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.
To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care.
To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
