Job Overview

Are you an experienced Registered (Adult) Nurse or a Student Nurse due to qualify in the next 6 months? Do you have a passion for nursing patients in their own homes? If yes, a move into Community Nursing could be the right career for you.

You will be part of a compassionate, forward-thinking team working in one of the community nursing hubs. You will have the autonomy to manage your own working day and be responsible for making clinical decisions for your patients.

The working hours are Monday to Sunday, between 08:00 and 22:00. We offer a variety of shifts to cover these hours. We believe in a positive work-life balance and are open to discussing hours and patterns of work on an individual basis.

This advert is mainly for Community Staff Nurse positions in the following hubs:
  • East Central HUB - based at St Luke's Treatment Centre and Springfield Road Health Centre
  • East South HUB - based at The Warrens Business Park in Enderby
  • City West HUB - based at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre
  • Charnwood HUB - Charnwood Mill, Barrow Upon Soar
  • Hinckley and Bosworth Hub

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical care, including management of wounds and leg ulcers, care of patients with palliative diagnoses, symptom control, and end-of-life care, bowel, continence, catheter care, and administration of medications including IVs.
  • Working with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Supporting patients to remain at home and avoid hospital admissions.
  • Promoting self-care and independence.
