Job summary

NHS Highland in Helensburgh and Lochside District Nursing Team is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join a fixed-term post until April 2026. You will provide care in the community, helping to avoid hospital admissions and support discharged patients, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must be a First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to work autonomously.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Community Staff Nurse to join the Helensburgh and Lochside District Nursing Team on a fixed-term basis until April 2026

The post holder will work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver planned programmes of care to individuals, families and carers within the community setting, supporting admission avoidance and facilitating early supported discharge from hospital.

You will be a First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Previous community experience is desirable; however the post is suitable for newly qualified nurses who are welcome to apply.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential due to the rural geography of the locality.
