A healthcare trust in the UK is looking for Community Staff Nurses in the Bournemouth area. Our busy District Nursing teams along the coast of Bournemouth are looking for Community Staff Nurses to join their teams. Applicants can be newly registered, or experienced, as full training and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.
The successful applicant must be able to drive and have access to a car. Visa sponsorship for this role is not available. Please ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Our teams provide holistic care to patients at home, including palliative/end of life care, IV drug administration, medication/injection administration, and diabetes management.
We have both full and part-time vacancies available. There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata.
With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills. Newly registered staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a specific clinical upskilling program to support their transition from student to RN.

Location: Bournemouth area, BH7 6JF. Band 5. Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per year p.a. pro rata. Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full-time or Part-time.
Essential qualifications: Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level; membership of the relevant Professional Body; Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessors training; evidence of recent professional development; knowledge of Trust Strategy relevant to the role.
Experience: supervised experience gained during clinical placements; ability to mentor students or supervise junior staff; experience of contributing to the management of change; demonstrable knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions in the area of practice; experience of developing programmes of care for individuals or groups and of providing advice; ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively. Desirable: recent previous experience within a comparable role; experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff.
Personal attributes: effective communication, ability to work with diverse groups, problem solving, planning and organising, initiative, knowledge of relevant legislation, willingness to advance own clinical knowledge and competence based on current evidence.
