Are you a registered nurse or about to qualify? Do you want an exciting job with great career potential? Do you aspire to make a positive contribution to nursing in the community within the Countywide Out of Hours Team?

The Out of Hours Community Nursing Team across Cambridgeshire offers permanent full-time and part-time contracts within CPFT, covering Cambridge, Huntingdon, and Peterborough.

We provide a 7-day service, working closely with community services and PCNs to deliver high-standard holistic care to the population of Cambridgeshire.

All staff will work shifts supporting the service over a 7-day period, including:

  1. Twilight Shift: 18:00 - 24:00
  2. Night Shift: 21:45 - 08:15

You will have opportunities for professional development through extensive learning and training.

Please note: This role requires travel independently around the county to meet strict deadlines. You must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle. Public transport is not suitable for this role. Please confirm in your application that you meet these criteria.

As a Community Staff Nurse, you will work as an autonomous practitioner within the countywide out-of-hours team, providing high-standard nursing care and interventions within patients’ homes, with support from team leaders. Patient-centered care, including patient and carer participation in decision-making, is paramount.

You will be responsible for assessing, interpreting, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments within professional guidelines. You will also have opportunities to support and educate peers, new staff, and students.
