Job Description:

Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment specialist recruiting Allied Health Professionals of all bands and specialties for long and short-term locum roles throughout the UK.

We are a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. Currently, we are working with qualified dysphagia competent Speech & Language Therapists to find new opportunities with the Trusts in Northern Ireland. We are recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Trust for a Community Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist who are HCPC registered with relevant Dysphagia competencies. The role involves providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours) with consideration for part-time hours (minimum two days per week). The initial contract duration is 3 months. Salary starts from £22.40 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £23.26 thereafter (including holiday pay).

Requirements:

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
• Registered member of the Health Care Professions Council & RCSLT member
• Minimum of 18 months post-qualification experience working as an SLT, including adults with acquired swallowing and/or communication disorders
• Recognised dysphagia qualification enabling independent management of non-complex cases or relevant training/work experience in dysphagia management, including sign-off of relevant professional dysphagia competency framework
• Full UK Driver's License and access to a car
• Right to Work in the UK
