Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist Specialist Practitioner within the Jurassic Community Adult SLT team based at Weymouth Community Hospital. The post welcomes Band 6 SLTs or Band 5/6 Developmental SLTs with relevant adult dysphagia experience, to join a forward-thinking team serving Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Experienced Band 5/6 SLT with minimum six months adult dysphagia experience.
• Band 6 SLT looking to develop skills in a new area.
• Weymouth/ surrounding areas community-based service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide a community clinical service to patients in home, clinics, and Community Hospital settings.
• Collaborate with team members to manage locality caseload.
• Supervise Band 5 therapists and work with SLT assistants and other community SLT teams.
