Join to apply for the Community Sister role at Charity Society.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Community Sister to join our Easington South Community Nursing Team. The successful applicant will work across the Easington locality and surrounding areas from an office base in Peterlee. The team covers 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week, on a duty roster. The post holder will manage a caseload to ensure clinical management of District Nursing and Intermediate Care Services. The role involves providing holistic nursing care to adult patients in their own homes or residential settings. Applicants must hold a first-level nursing registration with the NMC; additional role-specific training can be provided.

Main Duties
  1. Coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to patient needs.
  2. Support the aims of the integrated health and social care team within resource limits.
  3. Manage complex clinical cases with some supervisory responsibilities for healthcare staff from Bands 2 to 5.
  4. Provide both planned and reactive care, including Urgent Community Response.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • First-level NMC registration (Adult).
  • Professional knowledge of community nursing, demonstrated through degree or equivalent experience.
  • Specialist training, courses, or experience indicating a passion for community nursing.
