About the Job

We are recruiting a Community Safety Analyst based in Newcastle City Council (NCC) Community Safety Team to provide community safety intelligence expertise across the Council and our partners.

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering analytical products to a high standard and will play a key role in supporting decision making and intelligence led activity for the partnership. The post reports to the Community Safety Lead (Intelligence).



The Job

The post will sit within the analysis function of the Community Safety Team. The Community Safety Team supports the work of ‘Safe Newcastle’, the statutory Community Safety Partnership (CSP) for Newcastle upon Tyne. The analysis function plays a pivotal role in providing intelligence, analysis & information products to Newcastle City Council and a range of partners across the CSP.



The Candidate

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. The role will be challenging and varied and you will need to be flexible, able to work autonomously, and prioritise workload to meet conflicting deadlines.



You will also need excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to present complex information to a wide range of audiences in ways that are accessible, meaningful and appropriate for use.
