Community Safety Advisor

Salary: £34,000
Location: Manchester
Contract: 3-month, secondment
Type: Full time, 35 hours

General Responsibilities
  1. Administrative Support: Providing administrative and technical support to the Community Safety team, including organizing meetings, managing data, logging information on systems and portals, and preparing reports.
  2. Multi-Agency Coordination: Coordinating and supporting partnerships between agencies such as police, local councils, and community groups.
  3. Customer Engagement: Communicating with and supporting customers and stakeholders to address concerns, carry out risk assessments, and escalate issues as necessary.
  4. Investigation and Case Management: Taking initial reports of anti-social behaviour, assisting with investigations, and managing related cases.
  5. Project Support: Supporting community safety projects, monitoring progress, evaluating effectiveness, and assisting with funding bids.
  6. Raising Awareness: Promoting community safety issues and engaging with relevant programs and initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Administrative Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Community Safety: Understanding of crime prevention, anti-social behaviour, and related initiatives.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with others and across agencies.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify problems, analyze situations, and develop solutions.

Please note, the role requires flexible working, including occasional evenings and Saturdays.
