Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust in Basildon is seeking a Band 5-6 Developmental Post for a Respiratory Nurse/Physiotherapist to work across Basildon, Brentwood, Wickford and Thurrock. The role involves travel within the Integrated Respiratory Team to deliver expert respiratory care in clinics and patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Promoting effective self-management of patients to reduce hospital admissions.
• Contributing to patient and professional education.
• Delivering high-quality respiratory care to COPD and other respiratory conditions.
• Performing and interpreting ABG and CBG results for oxygen therapy assessment.
• Supporting Pulmonary Rehabilitation delivery and staff coverage as needed.
• Supporting the Respiratory Virtual Ward to aid admission avoidance and early discharge pathways.
• Carrying out Spirometry and FeNo testing as part of Breathlessness and Diagnostics services.
