Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our community rehabilitation service in Glasgow City. The post involves assessment, treatment and discharge planning for older people with complex needs, working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team.

You will provide expert clinical intervention, education and support to patients and carers, coordinating care and contributing to service improvement while working 26 hours per week on a fixed-term

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Registered with the HCPC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist direct clinical care and manage a caseload in the Service.
• Assess, treat and plan discharge for adults with complex rehabilitation needs.
• Collaborate with other health, education and social care professionals.
• Supervise less experienced staff, support workers and students.
• Work autonomously to develop, implement and evaluate interventions.
• Support discharge from hospital and prevent readmissions.
