Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a HCPC-registered Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Renfrewshire Rehabilitation and Enablement Service. The post holder will manage a complex caseload of adults with multiple pathologies, delivering assessment, treatment and specialist advice within community settings, including service users’ homes.

This permanent, part-time role (28.8 hours per week) runs Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, with base at Renfrew Health & Care Centre.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team is desirable.
• Community-based practice knowledge is desirable.
• Understanding the care needs of older people is desirable.
• Knowledge of neurological conditions is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex clinical caseload of adults with multiple conditions.
• Undertake assessment, treatment, intervention and rehabilitation planning.
• Provide expert physiotherapy advice across community settings.
• Promote independence and self-management for service users.
• Support avoidance of hospital admissions and timely discharges.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary assessments and case coordination.
• Participate in rapid response cover and wider service delivery.
• Supervise and support staff and students.
• Engage in health promotion, clinical audit and service improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to ongoing development of the service.
