Job summary

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join our busy Community Therapy Team at Leatherhead Hospital. You will work with Physiotherapists, OT and nursing staff to support patients in outpatient, home, and community settings.

You will carry own caseload under supervision, assist with therapy programmes, and help with administrative tasks. A car owner/driver and good communication skills are essential; prior community experience is advantageous though training will be provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English.
• Car driver and access to a car for business use.

Responsibilities

• Carry own patient caseload under the guidance of a qualified therapist.
• Undertake specific skilled support work to aid rehabilitation at patients' homes or in community settings.
• Enable delivery of effective rehabilitation teamwork and communicate with relatives and carers.
• Support/lead teaching classes for outpatient settings; training provided.
• Competent in prescribing small aids under supervision of a therapist.
