Overview

An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Receptionists to join our Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Service. You will be based at The Wakley Centre, providing contraception and testing/treatment for the management of sexually transmitted infections. You may also be required occasionally to cover clinics at Ealing, Harrow and Central Middlesex Hospital.

As the first point of contact for our service users, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience. This non-judgemental role is within the Sexual Health field, directing patients to the correct member of our multi-disciplinary team and handling highly confidential and sensitive issues. You will welcome patients of all ages, including teenagers, and promote access to services for young people. The post requires working on evening shifts, one to two days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for service users and guide them to the appropriate member of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide a professional and caring welcome to patients of all ages, including teenagers.
  • Promote access to services for young people and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Work independently using your own initiative while remaining a strong team player.
  • Maintain excellent telephone and IT skills; training will be provided for IT systems and in contraception and sexual health procedures.
  • Occasionally cover clinics at Ealing, Harrow and Central Middlesex Hospital as required.
