Job description

Are you seeking a new and varied administrative role? Care4CE Community Reablement Services is offering a permanent Clerical Officer position, working 24 hours per week, including one weekend in four. This role is based at Macclesfield Town Hall, Macclesfield, and the Salinae Reablement Office in Middlewich. Please note, this is an office-based position only.

PAY: Grade 5, starting at £25,584 per annum (pro rata), with annual increments over four years up to £27,269. Hourly rate starts from £13.26per hourwith annual increments over four years up to £14.13. A pay award for 2025-2026 is currently under consultation.

Weekends are paid at time and half as are Bank Holidays. Christmas Day and Boxing Day are double pay.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

Reablement is a community based front-line short-term service working with our integrated health partners, in supporting hospital discharges and hospital avoidance with a strong focus to enable individuals, to reach a maximum level of function whilst encouraging independence, choice and control or assessing for long term care needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with excellent computer and math proficiency to manage in-house electronic monitoring, payroll and Adult Social Care systems. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive, positive, and can-do attitude, and excel as a team player in a busy, fast-paced duty desk environment, and able to manage their workload quickly and efficiently. The post holder will support the duty senior and coordinators in handling frontline referrals, hospital admissions/discharges, and the allocation of customer visits.

Administrator tasks are performed alongside the duty desk, requiring an excellent eye for detail due to the use of live systems and complex process calculations. Exceptional communication skills are essential, along with adherence to the Council's Culture and value-based thinking, ensuring professional and sensitive engagement with all customers, professionals and colleagues. A valid driver's license is required for this role.
