Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner – Early Intervention
Location:Birmingham
Contract Type:Full-Time, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length:Ongoing Agency Contract
Employer:NHS (via Service Care Solutions)
Pay Rate:£27.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £21.71 per hour (PAYE, excluding holiday pay)

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for aBand 6 Mental Health Practitionerwith experience inEarly Intervention in Psychosis (EIP)to join an NHS service in Birmingham. This is a full-time agency contract offering a rewarding opportunity to support individuals at a critical stage in their mental health journey.

Role Overview: You will be responsible for delivering early intervention services to individuals experiencing first-episode psychosis or those at high risk. The role involves comprehensive assessments, care planning, and delivering evidence-based interventions, while working closely with families and multi-agency teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mental health assessments and risk evaluations
  • Develop and implement recovery-focused care plans
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions (e.g., CBT-informed approaches)
  • Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies
  • Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to service development
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements:
  • Qualified RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist
  • Current registration with NMC, HCPC, or equivalent
  • Experience in Early Intervention or community mental health services
  • Strong communication, assessment, and care coordination skills
  • Enhanced DBS (can be arranged by Service Care Solutions)
