Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the local community. You will work with service users, carers and the multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes and maintain connection with the community.

The role includes managing the Clozapine Clinic and administering depots, developing clinical skills while ensuring safe and compassionate care within a supportive Trust.

Qualifications

• Registered mental health nurse (NMC) with Band 6 level responsibilities.
• Experience in community mental health settings.
• Ability to coordinate care and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Are you an experienced mental health nurse looking for a rewarding community role where you can make a real difference to people’s lives?

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to people living with established mental health needs within the local community.

As a Band 6 CPN, you will hold responsibility for a defined group of service users, assessing their needs and coordinating their ongoing care, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation. You will work collaboratively with service users, carers, colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to help people achieve the best possible outcomes while remaining connected to their community.

A key part of the role will be managing the Clozapine Clinic and administering depots, giving you the opportunity to develop and utilise specialist clinical skills while ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care.

As an experienced member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, providing guidance, mentoring and supervision to colleagues, support staff and students and contributing to the effective day-to-day running of the service.

To be responsible for the management of the Clozapine and Depot Clinic. To undertake physical health checks.

Monitoring of side effects of medication and reporting to Consultant Psychiatrists.
