Job description

Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) looking for a rewarding locum role in West London? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (Band 6)

Location: West London

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £27 per hour (umbrella, paid via direct engagement in a PAYE equivalent rate)

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Conduct mental health assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  2. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
  3. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and care coordination for service users.
  4. Support patients with severe and enduring mental health conditions in the community.
  5. Liaise with local authorities, NHS trusts, and external agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
  6. Supervise and mentor junior staff where required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. A current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (CPN).
  2. Previous experience working in community mental health settings.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  6. A valid full UK driver's license (preferred but not essential).

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position requiring availability Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM. The contract is for 3 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
