As a Psychiatric Community Nurse, you’ll provide mental health support and care within the community. Your duties will involve working closely with patients dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. You’ll conduct assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs, develop personalised care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions. You’ll also offer counselling, medication management, and crisis intervention, helping patients cope with their conditions and enhance their overall well-being. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other healthcare and social service providers, support networks, and community resources to facilitate holistic care. You’ll act as an advocate for your patients, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental illness.
