Parkinson's UK is seeking a Community Programmes and Group Development Assistant to provide administrative support for community services. This part-time role involves organizing meetings, maintaining records, and enhancing team systems, all while working flexibly from home. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and experience in a digital workplace.
Role Salary: £13,788.43 per year
Role Location: Home Based
Role Hours: 17.5 hours per week

We’re looking for someone with experience of team administration, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate when required at all levels internally and externally to fulfil a critical role that underpins the work of the Community Programmes and Group Development team.
About the role
You’ll provide high quality admin support to the Community Programmes and Group Development team. Our team has strategic responsibility for driving forward the Physical Activity and Newly Diagnosed programmes, the ongoing development of Parkinson’s UK local groups, cafes and virtual networks and the provision and maintenance of digital tools to help the community to access the support and activities they need.
All our work is driven by the needs of the community and we work collaboratively with our staff and volunteer colleagues and people affected by Parkinson’s to make continuous improvements to our offer
What you’ll do:
Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required
Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms
Coordinate, plan and prep key meetings
Keep up to date with the team and directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information to the community
What you’ll bring:
Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively
Proven experience of managing administrative tasks, including collating and maintaining information, as well as coordinating and arranging meetings
Experience of introducing administrative processes to enhance team systems
Organisational skills including time and process management, with an attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal with a range of audiences
Ability to work flexibly and from home with some travel and the occasional overnight stay
