Main duties of the job
To discharge professional responsibilities under the Mental Health Act (1983), the revised Mental Capacity Act (2005), the NMC Code of Conduct, and SLaM commitments.
Be responsible for a caseload reflecting local priorities, assessing care needs under supervision.
Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care programs, set care standards, and liaise with other agencies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Ensure risk assessments and management plans are completed, considering vulnerability and safeguarding.
Offer BBV testing, treatment, and naloxone at first contact.
Implement recovery-based care plans collaboratively, ensuring they meet service user needs and facilitate transfers when necessary.
Develop effective joint working with community mental health services, primary care, social services, and voluntary agencies.
Participate in training programs, mandatory training, and duty rotas.
Respect individual differences and uphold professional standards.
Lead clinical management of care packages within a multidisciplinary team.
Coordinate and monitor person-centered healthcare, using complex decision-making and promoting shared decision-making.
Deliver individual and group therapies, including CBT.
Provide physical care, emotional support, and therapeutic activities.
Conduct prescribed physical observations and respond appropriately to exceptions.
Supervise junior staff and students, contributing to education and training.
Monitor and develop service standards, collect data for audits and research.
Ensure compliance with policies and participate in clinical governance and recruitment activities.
