Person specification
Education and Qualification
  • Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD), AHP, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist with current registration.
  • Proven clinical experience post-registration.
  • Training in CPA, Safeguarding, MAPPA, Child Protection.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Post-registration qualification in psychological interventions.
Knowledge and Experience
  • 12-24 months band 5 qualified nurse experience, depending on service need.
  • Understanding of professional accountability, NMC standards, and initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to perform comprehensive assessments of individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Risk assessment and management skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical approaches (NICE guidance).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong professional, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Adaptability in changing environments.
