Job description

Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse (Male)

We are actively seeking an experienced male Registered Mental Health Nurse to support the occupational requirements of the role, which includes meeting the cultural, ethnic, and risk needs of some of our service users. You will be part of our Community Practitioners team.

About the Service

The Forensic Community Service is a specialist team with a fully embedded multidisciplinary team (MDT), including Medical, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, Speech and Language Therapy, and Psychology colleagues. We provide care and treatment for adults (both male and female) with a history of offending and/or who pose a risk to others, primarily those who have been involved with the criminal justice system and have been in secure inpatient pathways.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Manage your own caseload, carrying out interventions.
  2. Work closely with team members to support patients through recovery.
  3. Participate in ongoing training, including specialist risk assessment tools.
Desirable Attributes
  • Previous experience working with offenders and patients with complex needs.
  • Thorough understanding of risk assessment.
