Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Community Podiatrist. You will join our Mid & North Hampshire Team and receive structured mentorship to support your clinical development.

You will gain experience across Biomechanics, Nail Surgery, At-Risk Foot services, domiciliary care and multidisciplinary working, within a supportive team that values learning and quality care for patients.

Qualifications

• BSc Podiatry or equivalent Podiatry-specific qualification.
• Full HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the management of a caseload of moderate and high risk patients, providing a comprehensive assessment of podiatric need and referral to other health care professionals as required.
• To assess, diagnose, develop & implement treatment plans for patients with lower limb & foot pathology, where appropriate.
• To assess & screen Diabetic patients using the diabetic foot assessment screening tool, ensuring copies issued to appropriate members of the multi-professional team.
• Ability to demonstrate well developed dexterity & co-ordination skills within the assessment & treatment process.

Education
