Job description

Ready to take the next step in your podiatry career? Join us in Sirona care & health and build your skills in a role that offers real support, diverse clinical experience, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

We welcome applications from Podiatry students graduating in 2026. This post is eligible for a relocation package.

You’ll join a warm, supportive podiatry team covering Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire—an area known for championing internal progression and helping staff advance into senior roles. We’re committed to your growth. Expect a structured induction, dedicated mentorship, regular 1:1s with your line manager, and ongoing clinical supervision. You’ll work alongside skilled, experienced podiatrists who will support your development every step of the way.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be empowered to work as an autonomous practitioner managing a varied and rewarding caseload, including:

  • High-risk and diabetic foot care
  • Wound care
  • Biomechanics

Care is delivered across a range of settings—community clinics, GP practices, care and nursing homes, and patients’ own homes—providing broad experience and opportunities to develop your clinical confidence. We pride ourselves on evidence-based practice and delivering exceptional podiatry services. Our goal is simple: to help people live longer, healthier lives with easy access to the care they need within their community.

  • Provide a high standard of podiatric care to maintain tissue viability, mobility and independence for patients that are high risk or have an acute foot infection. Delivered through assessment, diagnosis and developing appropriate care plans.
  • Plan and manage own caseload, with support and guidance from senior colleagues. Includes specialist care for patients with diabetes, rheumatoid and biomechanical problems, and specialist treatment plans for a variety of clinical needs including acute and chronic neuropathies, vascular, tissue viability problems and wound management.
  • Assess new and existing patients and use clinical judgments to ensure patients meet the access criteria and appropriately signpost to alternative providers when required, referring to mentor/senior podiatrist for support when appropriate.
  • Screen high-risk patients to monitor their condition and the degree of risk to their foot health, including neurological and vascular assessments.
  • Undertake domiciliary visits across the region.
  • Refer complex cases onto senior colleagues and/or other departments and discharge patients where appropriate as per referral pathways and guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate by involving and informing patients/carers of their care plan and its progress, overcoming potential communication barriers.
  • Provide foot health education and advice to patients, relatives, and carers in both one-to-one and group sessions.

Agenda for Change Salary, full NHS benefits, 27+ days’ annual leave, and participation in the NHS Pension Scheme are part of the benefits we offer.
