Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join the Integrated Community Team (ICT) on a fixed term basis. Based in Hoddesdon, you will deliver community physiotherapy across Hoddesdon and surrounding areas, including home visits, falls prevention, and rehabilitation for a range of needs.

The post supports newly qualified or returning practitioners with supervision, CPD, and opportunities to work with Therapy Support Workers and students.

Qualifications

• Must hold a physiotherapist qualification and be registered with the HCPC.
• Full driving licence and access to a car for community visits.
• Commitment to CPD and professional development within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Provide community physiotherapy rehabilitation in patients' own homes or residential settings.
• Contribute to prevention of hospital admissions and falls risk assessments.
• Collaborate with ICT and local Therapy & AHP networks to deliver care.
• Flexible working patterns with some weekend coverage on a rostered basis.

Job description

We are seeking a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our Integrated Community Team (ICT) on a fixed term basis.

Upper Lea Valley ICT has its base in Hoddesdon, Herts, and delivers effective and efficient therapy and nursing services to the local population of Hoddesdon and surrounding areas.

The team provides holistic care for a wide variety of long and short term needs in patients' own homes and residential settings.

The service includes community therapy rehabilitation, prevention of hospital admission and falls assessment.

Therapists work closely within the ICT and are supported by their nursing colleagues locally and by the Therapy and AHP networks in HCT., This post is suitable for a newly qualified or returning to practice candidate who is looking to develop their knowledge and skills within a friendly and creative team.

Support is readily available and a supervision and CPD structure is in place and encouraged by HCT. You will receive professional guidance and direction from senior Physiotherapists.

As part of your development, there are opportunities to experience colleagues working in a range of partner settings, and to develop your supervisory skills with Therapy Support Workers and students.

It is also essential to hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car to use regularly for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

You will be required to complete electronic patient records (training provided).

The position is full time (37.5 hours per week) but in line with our flexible working approach we welcome applications for part time contracts. A seven day working pattern will be required to cover weekends and bank holidays on a rostered basis.
