Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in Renfrewshire is seeking a HCPC-registered Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Renfrewshire Rehabilitation and Enablement Service. The post holder will manage a complex caseload of adults with multiple pathologies, delivering assessment, treatment, and specialist advice within community settings, including service users’ homes.

You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to support high-quality rehabilitation and enablement services.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist is essential.
• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team is desirable.
• Knowledge of community-based practice is desirable.
• Understanding of the care needs of older people is desirable.
• Knowledge of neurological conditions is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex clinical caseload of adults with multiple conditions.
• Undertake assessment, treatment, intervention and rehabilitation planning.
• Provide expert physiotherapy advice across community settings.
• Promote independence and self-management for service users.
• Support the avoidance of hospital admissions and facilitate timely hospital discharges.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary assessments and case coordination.
• Participate in rapid response cover and wider service delivery.
• Supervise and support staff and students.
• Engage in health promotion activities, clinical audit and service improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
