Job summary

ACCORD Hospice is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Community HUB and Inpatient Unit, supporting people living with, or affected by, a life‑limiting illness across Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire.

The post holder will contribute to high‑quality, person‑centred palliative and end‑of‑life care in the hospice, community and patients’ own homes, helping individuals to maintain independence, maximise comfort and achieve what matters most to them.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and ability to manage a varied caseload.
• Confidence working independently in community settings.
• A driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver physiotherapy interventions for patients with complex needs.
• Support mobility, breathlessness and fatigue management, falls prevention and equipment advice.
• Provide carer education, goal setting, discharge planning and onward referral.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, service development, audit and education, and maintain accurate clinical records.
