Job description

Surrey Downs Health & Care is seeking a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the SDHC Home First Epsom UCR team. This short-term bank position over the winter requires community experience, as well as experience in ED and rapid responses. The role involves home visits for new rapid assessments and follow-ups. Hours are 34 per week, with a pattern of three 12-hour shifts from 8 am to 8 pm, including a 40-minute break. Qualified, interested, and available candidates are encouraged to apply.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Undertaking specialist physiotherapy and holistic assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner, interpreting results, applying clinical reasoning, and using evidence-based practice to determine treatment options.
  2. Planning and implementing goal-oriented interventions with patients and carers.
  3. Contributing to single and trusted assessment processes.
  4. Providing comprehensive interventions utilizing assessment and treatment facilities where appropriate.
  5. Managing a clinical caseload within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring patients and carers receive optimal therapy and holistic care.
  6. Carrying out multidisciplinary screening assessments and discussing outcomes with team members.
