Job summary

Change Grow Live in Peterborough is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medicines management and collaborations with community pharmacies. The post requires GPhC registration, a qualifying course, and at least 2 years’ experience as a registered technician.

Expect regular travel and a permanent, part-time arrangement with pro rata terms. You’ll work with healthcare colleagues to maximise pharmacy interventions, ensure safe medicine handling, and contribute to better service user outcomes

Qualifications

• GPhC-approved qualification and current registration with GPhC.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience working with multiple agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact for community pharmacy contractors and the LPC.
• Attend LPC and CDLIN meetings as required.
• Promote CGL across the Service to optimise pharmacy interventions.
• Ensure pharmacies provide supervised consumption, needle exchange and naloxone.
• Use PharmOutcomes and systems to collect and analyse data.
• Advise on medicines governance and management of products.
• Support prescribing of cost-effective pharmacotherapies.
• Provide medicines-related advice to prescribers within scope.
• Respond to drug alerts overseen by the Central Pharmacy Team.
• Dispense and administer medicines in onsite dispensaries, including PGDs where appropriate.
• Oversee safe storage, handling and management of medicines and stationery.
• Support staff training on medicines management practices.
• Monitor stock rotation, storage and health & safety compliance.
• Ensure controlled drugs and stationery are stored securely.
